Divers exiting the water after a dive with Diver Propulsion Vehicles always have the biggest grin, and they can’t wait to sign up for another! That’s exactly why we created DPV Week 2026 – so you can pack in multiple DPV dives in one trip and really experience how cool these tools can be.
This specialized week of diving checks all the boxes:
- Learn new dive skills with a super fun
toytool - Explore Curacao dive sites that rarely get visited
- Log 6 DPV dives
- Earn a PADI Specialty certification
- Add to the adrenaline of a regular dive
The Program
- Day 1: Complete your PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle Specialty Course. This is 2 dives in one day, where you’ll learn how to plan and execute safe dives using a DPV.
- Day 2 – 5: Check in at 13:30 for a Guided DPV Dive – at least one of which is a deep dive requiring Advanced Open Water certification.
Your mornings on day 2 – 5 are open for additional diving or other island activities.
Why Diver Propulsion Vehicles?
They’re SO fun. Beyond the thrill of zooming around underwater, Diver Propulsion Vehicles are super useful! You won’t even notice the current that other divers are fighting. You’ll be able to explore dive sites that are a bit further away by consuming less air on the way there and arriving quickly. If you’re searching for a large object in fairly open area, you can easily cover a lot of ground. Plus, if you’re looking for the less-than-useful benefits, you can spin in a circle really fast, do some backflips, or barrel roll you way along the reef.

We’re all about safe & seriously fun diving. Whether you’re looking to do more courses or fun diving, here are some options that will work seamlessly with DPV week.
- Independent Diving: Rent tanks and equipment (as needed) to explore on your own before and after the DPV dives. Choose from individual tank rentals or our unlimited package, depending on how many dives you plan to do.
DPV Dive at Superior Producer Wreck - Guided Drive & Dive: To get the most out of 4 days of guided dives AND get you to your afternoon DPV dives on time, you’ll need to rent a car and meet us for the afternoon.We can set you up with a Guided Drive & Dive package to accompany DPV week!
- PADI Advanced Open Water: if you’re not already AOW certified, you’ll need to add this on to join DPV week. Never fear – we can plan it for the 2 days prior or make it part of the program! Pricing varies based on your chosen electives; contact for details.

Lefeet S1Pro
The Lefeet S1Pro is the Diver Propulsion Vehicle we have for our courses and guided dives. It has 3 speed settings, lights indicating battery level, and a bluetooth trigger that can be mounted on the left or right handle.
We know you’re going to love this DPV – so much that you might just want to order your own! Recently we trained a diver couple from Boston who did just that. They chose a more travel friendly Lefeet P1 Lite that even has an option to operate one-handed.
Even if traveling with a personal DPV doesn’t make sense for you, your PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle certification will show other dive centers that you have learned to safely operate one. Please note, all dive centers have their own safety policies; we cannot speak to DPV dive and rental options at other shops.
